Our Lives Is Like A Train.....#Take Care.

A friend of mine used this analogy to explain how he thinks life works. He said, imagine your life is like a train moving in a direction...... on each and every stop you pick up passengers, these passengers accompany you into your future.

He ended his analogy with a very interesting statement, he said if you pick up passengers who end up threatening your progress or attempt to derail you......simply stop at the next station and kindly them out.

I thought the comparison of life to a moving train was incredible it explained or perhaps clarified a host of questions I had. I am a very stable person, by that I mean I exercise my mental, spiritual and physical capacities, I have a very balanced life style. This means that I have very strong principles and adhere to a set of ethics and morals I deem necessary and vital to maintaining this sense of self I have cultivated over the years.

In order for my current world view to be satisfied my inner eco-system must remain in equilibrium at all times. This is a dangerous position to be in, because if your main concern is not to rock boat then you are effectively allowing anything to remain in your life good or bad as long as it maintains your center of gravity.

The biggest lie we tell ourselves is that we need all the people currently in our lives to prosper, especially if you are like I was then, you find it hard to limit the influence of people you know are not good for you because of the time and effort you have put into cultivating the relationships.

John Maxwell asserted that “the person who destroys your business is not the person you hire but the person you do not fire”. The truth resonates through out that statement and can be applied to every aspect of your life, truly the person who will be responsible for derailing you is not the person you are friends with but the person you refuse to remove from you life after they have shown ample evidence that they mean you no good. Stop and kindly let them out at the next stop.

Not everyone should remain on the train for the rest of your life, some people need to be dropped off
A lie or falsehood is described by the Oxford dictionary as “not according with truth or fact.......incorrect”. A lie is something that is not in line with what you perceive as truth.

Falsehood is not merely the absence of truth but the divergence of it. Your dream has to be strong enough to stand up against people who will tell you that you are not good enough and investors who will laugh at your business proposals.

Because that’s their truth, in the face of what you believe to be true their truth is a lie. So do not allow these passengers to derail you, kindly let them out at the next station and repair the damage they caused to your train and take off again. The key is never to allow all the junk or words people put into your life be the probable cause of your derailment.

Lessons.......
Do not be afraid to rock the boat, rock it until all the junk drops off.
Prune yourself daily of all the attributes that are not beneficial to your dream.

Do not compromise your dream by allowing your truth to be distorted by non supporters of your dream.

Tip.....Define your truth and hold on to that, at the risk of sounding cliché, make your truth as clear as day. So clear that no one can tell otherwise. Your better tomorrow hugely hinges on your being able to face critics and non supporters of your dreams and still believing in yourself. Endure never falter.........Love you all#Lalian MwanankwimbA.
